VHS/ DVD Status Information Dear Friends,
First, we want to sincerely thank you for placing your order for the "Changed Lives: Miracles of The Passion" VHS and/or DVD. It means a great deal to us that you enjoyed the show enough to purchase a copy of it.
We realize you have not yet received your order, and we profusely apologize for the delay in shipping. We had hoped to have products out to everyone much sooner, and please know that we are working very hard to get them out as quickly as possible. We're grateful for your incredible patience with us.
We have truly been overwhelmed by the incredible reception this show has received. You see, this is an independent project (literally one man and a few volunteers), not a large Hollywood production company. In fact, in order to handle the volume of orders-- which we could not have anticipated-- we are negotiating a deal with a large international distributor, and hope to have all orders shipped by the end of October. We apologize for this inconvenience, but in the meantime, we can assure and guarantee you that your credit card has not been charged. We felt it would be unethical to do so until each product was being shipped out.
This project has been a tremendous labor of love for us all. If you saw the program, you will understand why we felt so strongly about volunteering to support it. One man, the executive producer Jody Eldred, felt called by God to tell the stories of how He was radically and miraculously changing people's lives through the movie "The Passion." So on faith, Jody took out a home equity loan in order to fund this project out of his own pocket. A 30-year veteran director and cameraman in the TV and film business, Jody asked his friends, who were Emmy-award winning producers, to volunteer their talents.
Our prayer was that this program will serve to encourage believers and non-believers alike, and we have already received feedback that it has done just that! One woman wrote and told us that her rebellious 19-year-old daughter, who would not go to church or read her Bible and had refused to go see "The Passion of The Christ," watched "Changed Lives: Miracles of The Passion" with her and some friends. After the program, she jumped up and said, "Let's go see 'The Passion!'" When Jody heard this, he emailed the letter around to the production team and said, "This is why we made the program." And, Jody has already personally led one woman to the Lord-- the woman who did his makeup when he was invited to appear as a guest on MSNBC's "Scarborough Country." Jody has said that if God has orchestrated that even only one soul's destiny has been changed, it would be worth him going into debt to make this show.
This project has been unprecedented, in that it has been made up completely of Bible-believing Christians who supported one man as he persevered to stay faithful to a vision. It has been a tremendous struggle to dedicate several months, unpaid, to a project that has not yet broken even as of this writing. Jody has maxed out his credit cards paying for travel, hotels, editing, and production, and many bills are still due. As Jody said to the team, "When God tells you to do something, failure is not an option." We are incredibly thankful for the show's popular success, and we continue to pray that God would bless Jody with financial success to the point that this project would at least break even. We would greatly appreciate any and all prayers to that end.
Thank you again for your patience with us and for extending us grace as we finalize our new channel of distribution.
May God richly bless you and yours,
The "Changed Lives: Miracles of The Passion Team"
P.S. We're confident you will love the VHS/ DVD -- it has some exciting bonus material. We originally conducted up to 30 minutes of interviews with Pastor Jack Hayford, Lee Strobel, Archbishop Chaput, and Mitch Glaser, but had to edit them down to only a few minute soundbites for the show. You will get to see all the footage from these men, commenting on the phenomenon that is "The Passion." Plus more! |
